I do not believe in God. I have actually thought a lot about this and that is probably the main reason why I don’t. I don’t see a physical way for him to possibly exist. I think that the creation of God is mainly just to keep people inline, if they think there is some greater power that is going to judge them in the end, they are more likely to do good in the world. If you think about it we are just another animal on this earth, the difference is, we are the only ones with a brain advanced enough to have an imagination. We can imagine that there is a God, believe that this person who we have never seen exists. I do however pride myself in being a good person even though I don’t have some God watching over me, making sure I don’t do bad things, I think that makes me a very strong person for making good, kind decisions on my own. |

God is like the *Sun/The earth is Man. If you take God in his full force you will be without atmosphere or Life. Man must filter the concept of *god thru his Brain; As the earth filters the Sun's rays thought its Magnetic field.
I Read the Bible like a beautiful Flawed poem. It's purpose is not to be a Science book, after-all. |

I believe in God but not everything based on the Bible. He probably didn't create the universe in 7 days and we should all have a right of reliegious views :) |

This is a recently important topic in my life.. I've spent most of my life a stone cold atheist. It just made sense. Even now I am still familiar with the reasons I turned to atheism, and they aren't altogether wrong. But I recently endured quite a life ordeal, discovered I am an alcoholic, and turned to help from AA. When I walked in, I saw God this and God that on posters, in the book, and everywhere. I almost just walked right out, but I stayed, and I'm glad I did. AA has helped me to realize that there is more than just what we see and know. There surely is a "higher power" and while most people think Christian God, I don't believe organized religion is the only answer. No, I don't think we or anyone can quite comprehend what the higher power is, but it is there, and its power is there to help us. Our beliefs and efforts are what shape this power.. it is what we believe it to be, and if we !
wish it to be an omnipotent god playing an active role in our lives, then that is how it will manifest. If we look to Wicca, pray to the God and Godess, divine with spells, cards, etc, then that same energy is what we are tapping into, channeling it differently for different ends. Basically, it is my belief that the higher power is an energy that is there when we ask for it, but if we don't ask, then we really are on our own.
I hope my 'out there' view is useful to your research. =] |

Raised a Catholic. My uncle was a priest. Unfortunately he passed away in a road accident on his way to a wedding. I used to love arguing church doctrine and religion with him but we often agreed to disagree. I'm not a religious person, not superstitious either. Science is close to explaining everything... I'll repent on my death bed. Come on it's a win win situation. <3 this site BTW. XO |
